The AS3922 is an advanced active tag analog front end (AFE) IC employing unique active booster technology.

The active tag AFE IC is designed for ultra small form factor ISO4443 tag applications. Particularly where the reader coil to tag coil coupling factor is so small that using passive modulation will not produce enough signal on the reader coil resulting in little or no communication.

By boosting the response to the reader it allows for tag functionality in applications with a lot of interference in the field or that require ultra small form factor antenna. Making the AS3922 is ideal for use with RFID bridging technologies for the mobile phone such as microSD and SIM cards.

The AS3922 leverages unique antenna auto tuning AAT technology and low impedence, differential driver concept found on ams range of market leading HF RFID reader IC’s.

The AS3922 complies with ISO14443A/B tag emulation with supported data rates up to 106k/bits

To interface with the AS3922 there is an ACLB interface for communication with a secure element and additional SPI integrated for communication with a flash controller.
