austriamicrosystems announces new EasyPoint™ blog

EasyPointTM blog will be focused on Hall-sensor IC solutions for human machine interface applications

Unterpremstaetten, Austria (December 7, 2010) – austriamicrosystems (SIX: AMS), a leading global designer and manufacturer of high-performance analog ICs, today announced that it has launched the EasyPoint™ blog, to discuss solutions, issues and trends for joystick modules for many different products such as Mobile Phones, Game Consoles, Remote Controls, Portable Navigation Devices and Digital Still Cameras.

austriamicrosystems’ offers a wide range of Hall-sensor products. With the EasyPoint™, the company focuses on joystick modules which consist of a mechanical stack incorporating a navigation knob, a magnet and a two-dimensional Hall-sensor IC. Its simple construction and contactless sensing technology give the module very high reliability and allow usage in any kind of 360° navigation input device.
