austriamicrosystems receives AEO certification for supply chain reliability and security

Unterpremstaetten, Austria (September 28, 2011) — austriamicrosystems AG (SIX: AMS), a leading worldwide designer and manufacturer of high performance analog ICs for consumer, communications, industry & medical and automotive applications, today announced that it has been awarded the status of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) for its headquarters at Unterpremstaetten, Austria.

This certification establishes austriamicrosystems as a reliable and trustworthy partner that fulfils requirements regarding monitoring systems, solvency, lawful conduct and security standards for the international movement of goods. The AEO certificate is issued by the Austrian customs authorities and recognized in all European Union (EU) member states. Receiving the highest level of certification "Authorized Economic Operator Full", austriamicrosystems benefits from simplified customs procedures and security-related monitoring as well as preferred treatment during customs clearance.
